Avi Weisfogel Supporting Operation Smile with GoFundMe

There is no more worthy cause than helping children receive the medical care they need, according to notable New Jersey Dentist, Avi Weisfogel. Avi has set up a GoFundMe campaign for Operation Smile, a non-profit that specifically helps children around the world. The GoFundMe will raise $2,000 for the charity. Operation Smile helps children around the world who have facial deformities such as cleft lip and palate. It offers safe, free surgery with a safe recovery. The non-profit was started by Bill and Kathleen Magee in 1982. The doctor and nurse team were part of a mission trip to the Philippines prior to founding the charity. Departing the country, they were overwhelmed by all the people they were not able to help and vowed to return. They did return and thus, Operation Smile was formed. What once was a small operation has turned into a huge non-profit including several hundred volunteers performing thousands of surgeries yearly across the world. Operation Smile works with the local health care facilities to ensure the best treatment and recovery for its patients taking into account cultural barriers. Avi believes whole-heartedly in the mission of Operation Smile: that all children deserve the best medical care possible. Avi is owner and operator of Dental Sleep Masters. He started his way in the dentistry world after graduating from Rutgers and New York University College of Dentistry. He opened a practice in his hometown of Old Bridge, New Jersey. After gaining patients who were impressed with his skills as a dentist, his practice grew and he moved to a bigger location. After some years, Avi decided to continue his passion of helping patients with sleep apnea. However, he was having some trouble gaining patients. Taking some time off, Avi devoted his time to planning and researching how to get more sleep patients by consulting experts in the medical and insurance fields. His patience and dedication paid off, and he opened Dental Sleep Masters where he reaches more than a hundred sleep apnea patients. Wanting to share his success, Avi also decided to teach his fellow dentists his secrets. He opened Owner Unlimited Sleep Patients to help other dentists equip their practices with sleep labs for their sleep apnea patients.
